David Linares es un destacado artesano mexicano, miembro de la renombrada Dinastía Linares, célebre por la creación de alebrijes, una tradición iniciada por su abuelo, Pedro Linares López. Como heredero de uno de los grandes exponentes del arte popular mexicano, David ha desempeñado un papel clave en la preservación y evolución de esta expresión artística. Desde temprana edad, creció en un entorno donde el arte popular y la creatividad formaban parte fundamental de la vida cotidiana, aprendiendo las técnicas del papel maché y la pintura de su padre, y participando activamente en la creación de alebrijes y otras figuras tradicionales de cartonería. A lo largo de su trayectoria, David Linares ha llevado la magia de los alebrijes a públicos internacionales, exhibiendo su obra en numerosas muestras tanto en México como en el extranjero, manteniendo viva la esencia de esta emblemática tradición artística.

David Linares is a distinguished Mexican artisan, belonging to the renowned Linares Dynasty, famous for the creation of alebrijes, a tradition initiated by his grandfather, Pedro Linares López. As the heir to one of the great exponents of Mexican folk art, David has been instrumental in the preservation and evolution of this artistic expression. From a young age, he grew up in an environment where folk art and creativity were an essential part of daily life, learning the techniques of papier-mâché and painting from his father, and actively participating in the creation of alebrijes and other traditional cardboard figures. Throughout his career, David Linares has brought the magic of alebrijes to international audiences, exhibiting his work in numerous shows both in Mexico and abroad, while keeping alive the essence of this iconic artistic tradition.
